What skarbfolio does with your IBKR account
Two ways to import
Activity Statement is a one-time .csv or .xml file, no credentials needed. Flex Web Service saves a Flex query, so new trades and dividends come in when you press Sync now.
History, not just balances
Trades come in with their commissions, along with dividends. Positions bought before the statement starts get an opening buy. Stocks and ETFs get daily prices, so your net worth chart shows what really happened.
No duplicates
The account is matched by its IBKR account number. Re-importing the same statement, or one that overlaps, skips transactions that are already there.
Read-only
The Flex token is read-only and encrypted at rest. skarbfolio can't trade or move money.
What your investments earned
Analytics separates the money you put in from what it earned, compares your return with an index, and shows realized and unrealized P&L per position. Holdings shows the currency effect separately from price change.
How to import your IBKR account
- Go to Holdings and click Import IBKR.
- Choose a method: Activity Statement (.csv / .xml) or Flex Web Service (one-click sync).
- For a statement: in Client Portal, open Performance & Reports → Statements → Activity, set the period to "All" and the format to CSV. Upload the file and click Parse statement.
- For a Flex query: in Client Portal → Performance & Reports → Flex Queries, turn on Flex Web Service, generate a token, and create an Activity Flex Query with Account Information, Open Positions, Trades, Cash Transactions and Cash Report. Paste the Flex Web Service token and Query ID, then click Test & fetch.
- Review the summary of holdings, trades, dividends and fees, then click Import to Skarbfolio.
- After that, press Sync now in Settings → Integrations to bring in new trades and dividends, on the web or in the mobile app.

Interactive Brokers questions
What is a Flex query, and why use one?
It's a saved report in Interactive Brokers' Client Portal. skarbfolio fetches it through Flex Web Service with a read-only token, so you don't upload a file every time. Press Sync now and new trades and dividends come in.
Does syncing run on its own?
No, it doesn't run on a schedule. New data comes in when you press Sync now. If you enter the token's expiry date when you connect, we'll email you when it lapses so syncing doesn't stop without you noticing.
Can skarbfolio trade from my account?
No. A statement is a file you upload yourself, and the Flex token is read-only. skarbfolio can't trade or move money.
What happens to US Treasuries in my IBKR account?
They're matched to the bond catalog by CUSIP and get their coupon schedule and a daily price.
What happens when Pro ends?
Your account and every imported holding and transaction stay, and the account shows when it last synced. New imports and syncs, the rest of Analytics and full net worth history wait for Pro.
