Importing from Interactive Brokers

Instead of entering trades one by one, you can import your history directly from Interactive Brokers — either as a one-time file upload or as an ongoing auto-sync.

  1. Go to Holdings and click Import IBKR (this same import is also offered as a fast-path when adding a new account).
  2. Choose a method:
    • Activity Statement (.csv / .xml) — a one-time upload, no credentials needed, covers your holdings and the last 365 days of transactions. Fastest way to see your data.
    • Flex Web Service — connect with a read-only Flex token so the report refreshes automatically every night. See Connecting Interactive Brokers for live sync for the token setup steps.
  3. Upload the file (or enter your Flex token and Query ID) and let Skarbfolio parse it.
  4. Review the summary — holdings, trades, dividends, fees, and how many positions had their cost basis matched.
  5. Click Import to Skarbfolio to confirm.

The account is created or matched automatically from the statement's account ID — there's no separate step to pick one.

Importing is a Pro feature — see Billing & subscription if you need to upgrade.

Tips

  • Re-importing the same statement won't create duplicates — matching transactions are skipped.
  • If an asset can't be automatically matched, you'll be asked to confirm or map it manually before the import completes.
