Zero-balance vs. archived accounts
These look similar but mean different things.
- Zero-balance account — an active account that currently holds nothing (e.g. you sold everything but might buy again). It stays visible in Holdings so you remember it exists.
- Archived account — an account you've explicitly retired. It's hidden from the default view but its history is preserved.
A zero-balance account is not archived automatically — you decide when an account is done for good and archive it yourself.
