Tracking government bonds
Skarbfolio keeps a catalog of Ukrainian and US Treasuries. A bond you add from the catalog brings its coupon schedule with it.
- Go to Holdings and click Add holding, then pick Bond.
- In Code / issuer, search by code (
UA4000…for a Ukrainian Treasury, the CUSIP for a US Treasury), issuer, term (10-Year) or maturity year, and pick the issue. - Enter Bonds (count), Purchase price (total) and the Purchase date.
- Save.
What the catalog gives you
- Coupons and repayment — upcoming coupon payments and the repayment at maturity show up on Income and on the overview.
- A daily price for US Treasuries — the official end-of-day price, usually from the previous business day, so the bond's value follows the market.
- Ukrainian Treasuries have no market price feed — they're valued at the price you last paid.
US Treasuries
- One bond is $100 of face value, and its price is the usual quote in percent of par: a price of 99.53 means $99.53 per bond. $10,000 of face value is 100 bonds.
- Bills, notes and bonds are covered. Inflation-protected (TIPS) and floating-rate notes aren't, because their value depends on an index the catalog doesn't track — add them as a custom asset.
- Treasuries imported from Interactive Brokers are matched to the catalog by CUSIP.
For other fixed-income instruments, add them as a custom asset.
