Help & FAQ

Polish savings bonds

Poland's retail savings bonds (OTS, ROR, DOR, TOS, COI, EDO) can be added by their series code. Skarbfolio works out their value with interest every day, by the issuer's rules.

  1. Go to Holdings, click Add holding and pick Bond.
  2. At the top, choose Polish savings.
  3. Type the Series — the type and the maturity month and year, like EDO1136. Below the field you see what the bond is and when it matures.
  4. For a series we know, the first period's rate, the margin and the early redemption fee are filled in — check them against the terms of issue and change them if needed. For a series not in our table yet, enter the rate and margin from the terms of issue.
  5. Enter the Number of bonds and the Purchase date — it has to be in the month the series was sold. Face value is 100 zł.
  6. Save.

Which types

  • OTS — 3 months, fixed rate, interest at maturity.
  • ROR — 1 year, reference rate + margin from month 2, interest paid monthly.
  • DOR — 2 years, reference rate + margin from month 2, interest paid monthly.
  • TOS — 3 years, fixed rate, interest added to the value yearly.
  • COI — 4 years, inflation + margin from year 2, interest paid yearly.
  • EDO — 10 years, inflation + margin from year 2, interest added to the value yearly.

Family bonds (ROS, ROD) and the discounted swap price aren't covered yet.

What the holding page shows

  • Value · estimate with the interest accrued so far, and separately Interest accrued and Invested.
  • Rate now and where it comes from, e.g. "year 3: inflation 4.10% + margin 2.00%". Inflation is the figure from two months before the period starts, as in the issuer's rules. Rates for future periods are an estimate from the latest known figure.
  • Next capitalization or Next interest payment, and Maturity.
  • If redeemed today — what you'd get after the fee (the rules cap it at the interest accrued).
  • Value history — each completed year or month with its rate.

The 19% tax isn't taken into account anywhere. If the terms of issue give a different rate from ours, click Change rate — your rate replaces the calculated one for the current period.

Income

Capitalized interest isn't money in your account, so EDO, TOS and OTS don't appear on Income until they mature. On the maturity date, everything earned over the term shows as interest and the 100 zł per bond as the principal coming back. ROR, DOR and COI pay their interest out — it shows among the expected payments; when the money arrives, record a Coupon transaction.
