Tracking crypto addresses

A crypto address is tracked inside one of your accounts — its balances and prices update automatically, and they sit next to whatever you've entered in that account by hand. Each address is on one chain: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana or Polygon. Only the public address is needed, never a key.

  1. Go to Holdings, click Add holding and choose Crypto.
  2. Choose Paste a wallet address.
  3. Pick the chain and paste the public address. A label (e.g. "Cold storage") is optional.
  4. Click Find tokens. What's at the address is listed with its logo; anything with a balance and a price is ticked for you, while airdropped tokens and empty positions are left unticked.
  5. Check the account at the bottom of the dialog — click change to put the address in another account, or name a new one. Then click Add N assets (the number is what you ticked) — the balances load right away.

The same EVM address on another chain (say, Polygon as well as Ethereum) is added again with that chain — each one shows as its own address in the account.

Managing an address

In Holdings, an account's synced rows are grouped under their address: the chain, the short address and when it last synced. The address's ⋯ menu has:

  • Choose tokens… — tick which of the address's tokens count as holdings, then Save. Untracking keeps the balance history, so re-ticking one later restores it.
  • Copy address.
  • Sync now — read the address again instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync.
  • Remove address — stops tracking it; the account and everything else in it stay.

An address receives every token anyone has ever sent it, so it often lists coins you never bought. Untracked tokens stay out of your portfolio entirely, and a token that turns up later waits unticked rather than appearing on its own. To hide one token quickly, open its row's ⋯ menu and choose Stop tracking token — it comes back under Choose tokens….

Synced balances can't be edited by hand and take no transactions. For crypto you'd rather enter yourself (on an exchange, say), choose Enter manually instead in step 2 — see Add holding; for cash that isn't on-chain, choose Cash.
